This policy is designed to protect our users, their callers, and the integrity of our platform. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
2. AI Voice Agent Usage
Required Disclosures
When using AI voice agents, you MUST:
- Disclose AI use: Your AI agent must clearly identify itself as an AI or automated system at the beginning of each call
- Provide business identity: Callers must be informed of your business name
- Offer human escalation: Provide callers with a way to reach a human representative when appropriate
Call Recording Compliance
You are responsible for complying with all applicable call recording laws:
- Obtain consent from callers before recording as required by law
- Many jurisdictions require two-party consent (both parties must agree to recording)
- Clearly disclose that calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes
Accurate Information
Your AI agents must:
- Provide accurate and truthful information about your business
- Not make false claims about products, services, or capabilities
- Not impersonate real individuals or other businesses
3. Phone Number Usage
Phone numbers provisioned through our Service must be used responsibly and in compliance with all applicable telecommunications laws.
Permitted Uses
- Receiving inbound calls from customers and prospects
- Business communications with existing customers who have consented to contact
- Appointment confirmations and reminders to customers who have scheduled with you
- Legitimate business operations consistent with the nature of your business
Prohibited Telephone Activities
- Robocalling: Automated or prerecorded calls without prior express consent
- Telemarketing Violations: Unsolicited sales calls to numbers on Do Not Call registries
- Caller ID Spoofing: Falsifying or manipulating caller ID information with intent to defraud
- Traffic Pumping: Artificially inflating call volumes or generating fraudulent traffic
- Toll Fraud: Unauthorized use of telecommunications services or toll bypass schemes
- Phishing Calls: Attempting to obtain sensitive information through deceptive calls
- Harassment: Repeated unwanted calls or threatening/abusive communications
Caller ID and STIR/SHAKEN
- You must not misrepresent your identity or business name in caller ID information
- Calls originating from our platform are subject to STIR/SHAKEN attestation requirements
- False or misleading caller ID information may result in immediate account termination
- You are responsible for ensuring your displayed caller ID is accurate and authorized
International Calling
- International calling capabilities may be restricted based on your plan and verification status
- You must comply with telecommunications laws in both originating and destination countries
- Some destinations may be blocked due to fraud prevention measures
4. Prohibited Activities
You may NOT use the Service for:
Illegal Activities
- Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Fraud, phishing, or other deceptive practices
- Money laundering or financing of illegal activities
- Violation of export control or sanctions laws
Harmful Communications
- Robocalls, spam, or unsolicited telemarketing
- Harassment, threats, or abusive communications
- Calls designed to mislead, deceive, or defraud
- Collecting sensitive information without proper consent
Technical Abuse
- Attempting to bypass rate limits or usage restrictions
- Interfering with the Service or other users
- Reverse engineering or attempting to access source code
- Using automated systems to exploit the Service
Prohibited Industries
The Service may not be used by businesses engaged in:
- Illegal gambling or gaming
- Adult content or services
- Illegal drug sales or paraphernalia
- Weapons sales (where prohibited)
- Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
5. Content Guidelines
Content used in your AI agents (scripts, knowledge bases, etc.) must not include:
- Hate speech or discrimination based on protected characteristics
- Sexually explicit or obscene material
- Content promoting violence or illegal activities
- Copyrighted material used without authorization
- Personal information of third parties without consent
- Medical, legal, or financial advice that requires professional licensing
6. Regulatory Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
Telecommunications Laws
Use of phone services is subject to telecommunications regulations, including:
- United States: TCPA, TSR, TRACED Act, Do Not Call registries
- Canada: CASL, CRTC regulations, DNCL
- EU/International: GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, local telecom laws
Service Limitations
Important: The Service is designed for general business call handling and appointment booking. It is NOT designed for, and should NOT be used for:
- Handling protected health information (PHI) or HIPAA-regulated data
- Processing payment card data or PCI-DSS regulated information
- Privileged legal communications or attorney-client matters
- Financial advice requiring professional licensing
If your business handles such regulated data, consult with legal counsel about appropriate solutions.
Important: We provide tools and features to help with compliance, but you are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service meets all legal requirements in your jurisdiction and industry.
7. Monitoring and Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor usage for compliance with this policy
- Review call recordings and transcripts when investigating violations
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy
- Report illegal activities to appropriate authorities
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations
Enforcement Actions
Violations may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a warning
- Suspension: Temporary suspension of account access
- Termination: Permanent account termination without refund
- Legal action: Pursuit of legal remedies where appropriate
